That all changes the day a mysterious man shows up in her hospital.

Theodore “Theo” Behr, a bear shifter, finds himself standing in the middle of a hospital waiting room with no memory of how he got there. Flooded with confusion and despair over not being able to connect with his bear, he doesn’t know what to do or where to go.

That's when Dr. Ruthven approaches and offers him her hand. When Liliana lets him crash on her couch and Theo finds out she's a vampire, things become a bit more complicated.

Then Liliana's mother shows up, mistakes Theo for Liliana’s consort, and things become even more complex. But that doesn't stop Theo from feeling indebted to Liliana. And what better way to repay her kindness than to offer to be her fake boyfriend to keep her meddling mother at bay?

But when the feelings start to get a bit too real, can they figure out what's wrong with Theo without their desire getting in the way? Or will his ability to shift be gone forever?
