Jacqueline Winters had no idea what came after her boyfriend proposed to his secret lover right before Christmas. Riddled with embarrassment and seeking the quickest escape, Jacqueline called her best friend Porsha Landry for a rescue.

But Porsha was stuck at her cabin with her car broken down and a mechanic unavailable until after the holiday weekend. Porsha would do anything to help her childhood best friend, but getting to her—and knocking out her ex—wasn't an option.

To Jacqueline’s surprise, her ex’s sister and her boyfriend volunteered to take her to the cabin. Miranda Taylor had been dreading the holiday anyway, given her harbored crush on her brother’s, now, ex-girlfriend. So, helping her escape was the least she could do.
