Original Demons. Reincarnation. Fated Souls. One of those things is real. The other two? I’m not so sure.

Spending three weeks in a coma is not how I wanted to end my first semester at St. Michael’s academy, but that’s just how my life’s been going as of late.

Logan and I continue to search for proof of what is happening to the missing Guardians, but now we’ve got another problem. Azazel, the manipulative and power-hungry original, is after me. And whatever he has planned can be nothing good.

For my safety, The Shadowguard and Belial work out a deal. I will stay in the demon’s custody, tucked behind the powerful wards and spells guarding his mega mansion in the middle of an unknown forest.

Through our time together, I learn more and more about the truth of the Shadowguard. Belial is a fountain of knowledge, one who seems willing to spill all of the secrets to me, some I’m not so willing to hear. As the days pass, I realize there is more to the original demon than I originally believed. And I’m not quite sure how that makes me feel…
