Playing with Fire

Blayze Jenson knew from the time she was big enough to walk around in her daddy’s boots that she wanted to be a fire fighter just like him when she grew up.

While her family and loved ones supported her dream wholeheartedly, there were others who made fun of her and doubted her ability to succeed in such a male-dominated profession. One person being Colton Burns, Blayze’s nemesis since childhood.

Now that Captain has been added to her name badge, she’s finally happy with where she is in life. Or is she? Seems there’s one thing still missing…a man.

When she returns for her father’s retirement ceremony, the last person she expects to run into is Colton. Not wanting to bring up the past and the issues they’d had long ago, she agrees to a night out with him…on her terms.

Blayze’s father wants nothing more than to see her step into his former role, but the mayor, who just so happens to be Colton’s father, doesn’t feel she’s cut out for the job. When she storms out of the interview, little does she know Colton is there to defend her. And he’ll stop at nothing to protect her from his father’s evil ways.

She’d like to believe Colton is on her side, but playing with her heart is just as dangerous as playing with fire and someone is bound to get burned.
