After my best friend goes missing and the police refuse to take her disappearance seriously, I do what any reasonable woman wouldn't: I go looking myself. My investigation begins at her last known location, Sinners and Saints, a seedy strip club owned by the New Orleans mafia.

Armed with a fake name, lingerie, and sky-high heels, I infiltrate the club, determined to find out what happened to her.

Except, the mafia doesn't give up their secrets so easily, and before I have a chance to find the truth, I catch the attention of someone who can tell I'm lying.

John Vitale is known as a psychopath. Even the scariest men at this club are well aware he has no qualms when it comes to killing.

With his sights set on me, he begins to buy all my time at the club to keep me off the floor and away from anyone who might give me a lead. I know being under his scrutiny is a death sentence, and if I don't push him away, I'll never find the truth. But I can't help but enjoy the way he touches me, protects me, owns me.

He knows I'm hiding something, though, and he won't stop until he finds out what.

But if I tell him the truth, will he destroy me, or become the man I can't live without?
