Adie Hamilton’s triumph in landing a place on a prestigious excavation team in Egypt working with maverick professor Killian Carmichael is short lived when she realises her hot boss is a grump with no time for adventures or her precious intuitions. But, having studied her whole life to get here, she’s determined to unearth more than a few pottery shards. Luckily, she meets Anton Kelley, a fellow archaeologist, who is more than happy to indulge her passions. And hey, if the two men have history, that’s okay.

Killian was once just like Adie, hungry for discoveries, idealistic, and completely blind to the dangers those things pose. They cost him everything that mattered—his career, friends, and the love of his life. Too bad it’s those very qualities that draw him to his new charge and make him want to…handle her in highly inappropriate ways and lavish her with praise so he can watch her fizzle in response.

As the dig progresses, the three need to combine their talents to hunt down a missing relic, ahead of Killian’s bitter rival, a cult leader who’s eager to cash in on their efforts. With graverobbers, ankh-wearing groupies, and pesky feelings that refuse to adhere to common sense getting in the way, things look ripe to result in career-ending disaster. But, Adie is just not willing to let her dream die: that relic is hers to unearth, even if it requires her to make some dubious choices.

Don’t Mess with my Relic is a spicy standalone romance featuring a grumpy professor, his keen recruit, and a mysterious adventurer with questionable ethics. It contains sword-crossing shenanigans, sweltering heat, and a whole lot of playing in the dirt. If you ever wanted to be/do Indy, then this is the adventure for you.
