Blackberries on the Fence puts you on notice and unlocks those silent and internal conversations about what Black families lacked in protection and support back then. It shines light on how being the "black sheep of the family" is overshadowed by "let's just pray about it." Colorism mixed with church hurt. Readers discretion is advised.
