Two for the Road

One for the money, two for the road.

Three, let’s get ready.

It’s time to go.

One might say my life was on a bland course. A road to nowhere, even. I was taking classes at the community college, working at the small coffee shop… living with my mother.

Hey, no judgments.  My momma is awesome.

The highlight of my day was spending time with my bestie and adopted sister, Frankie. However, the trajectory our lives were headed on was doomed to repeat my momma’s life, keeping us in this no-frills, small Texas town. Until some money stumbles into our laps, that is. Enough for Frankie and me to put our mundane existence on hold to explore our part of the world.

So, with Momma’s blessing—and more brass balls than brains—we set off on a modern-day Thelma and Louise adventure, but we're not criminals. Everyone knows I wouldn’t last a minute in prison.

Not gonna lie, maybe three hots and a cot would be preferable to some of the crazy situations we’ve found ourselves in. Oh, what a story we’ll have to share.
