Lorenzo Moretti has always lived by the rules of the Chicago Mafia—violence, power, and silence. But everything changes the night he saves Sophie Messina, a woman whose life was never really her own. In a single moment, his world of blood and duty collides with her world of fear and control, setting off a love story that feels both forbidden and fated.
Sophie’s story hit me right in the heart. She’s been treated like property her whole life, trapped in a world that values obedience over happiness. But when Lorenzo steps in—rough edges, dark past, and all—she starts to see that maybe love can be her way out, not another cage.
And Lorenzo… oh, Lorenzo. He’s fierce, protective, and heartbreakingly human beneath that hardened exterior. The way he looks at Sophie, the way he silently vows to protect her even when it could destroy him—it’s the kind of love that makes you ache and swoon all at once.
Stacy Kristen doesn’t just write a mafia romance—she writes a story about choosing love in a world built on fear, about finding light in the unlikeliest place. Every stolen glance, every whispered promise, every impossible choice keeps you breathless until the final page.
If you love stories where danger and devotion walk hand in hand, Lorenzo’s Secret will stay with you long after you close the book. Because sometimes the most powerful kind of love… is the one that was never supposed to happen.
