Pretty In The Dark

It wasn’t supposed to happen like this.
I was supposed to come home, start over, and live my life free of my father's control.
But instead everywhere I turn I’m reminded of my past. Especially when I run into the one man I’ve never been able to get over. Cade Black.
We used and broke each other.
And I took the revenge he promised me on my knees while begging for more. But how can we move past our families' hatred and history when there’s someone in the darkness watching me?
The shadows of my past creep through the streets of my city and cling to the walls of my home searching for something. Something I was never supposed to find out about. Something that could destroy the new life I’m trying to build and the broken trust I’m trying to repair between me and Cade.
But now that the invitation to learn more is at my door I can’t look away.
They say what’s done in the dark will be brought to the light.
But I fear this darkness will swallow me whole.
