Case, the Dallas Fury's star center, has his life turned upside down when he's blindsided by the strong-willed, no-nonsense Heidi, a high-powered divorce attorney. 

What begins as a one-night stand after a college championship win ignites flames that can't be extinguished when they are drunk and get married in Vegas. 

They thought they annulled the marriage the next day. 

However, four years later, Heidi discovers that she’s still legally married to Case and sends him divorce papers. 

Case refuses to sign the papers because he is a staunch believer in fate and sees this as fate working in his life.
