Paisley has learned a great many things since coming to live on Bill's farm. She has learned that Molly's laugh sounds like the first warm day after a long winter. She has learned that Carl does not waste words. She has learned, at some personal cost, that chickens are not for food or fetch.

But... she was not prepared for Yuki.

When her half-brother arrives on Christmas morning, bold, fearless, and entirely unaware that anything could possibly go wrong, Paisley is immediately concerned. She appoints herself as his keeper.
