Valentine's in the Penitentiary

I never dreamed my childhood would echo this far, but here I am still locked behind steel bars, suffocating from the constraints of the world.

This holiday was supposed to be different. A chance at romance. A breath of freedom. Maybe even wings, like the butterflies I dream of.

Instead the walls bleed, the plants have teeth and I have learned what I am truly capable of.
