Patch is as infuriating as ever. Nat can’t catch a break since being thrown into the world of supernaturals and things continue to spiral out of control. Can the two of them kiss and make up before something irreversible happens?

As Nat continues to explore her own abilities, it’s becoming clear that Patch isn’t the only one with a target on their back. When a mysterious force kills her grandfather, the two must figure out the one responsible before he kills again — or they may lose more than what they bargained for.

Nat still doesn’t seem to get it. She thinks the world needs to stop and slow for her to understand anything and Patch is getting fed up. What’s more infuriating, though, is his attraction to her. It wasn’t supposed to be this way, but Fate has a funny way of making a fool out of you.

As Chris tries to help guide him, things get more and more complicated. Nat’s growing, but at what cost? She’s forcing Patch’s hand to embrace the nightmare he can become, and he isn’t sure how he feels about it. Should he be selfish and leave, or stick it out with her until the end?
